parent teacher - IMPENDING DOOM
NEARLY TIME FOR THE ALBUM...
...but not before we share one last single, the ultra-catchy, gloomy-themed title track Impending Doom. Incidentally also the opening track of the full-length album dropping a week later.
Just like his debut song evEryThiNG's NoRMaL, and his second tune Living a Lie, Impending Doom carries Parent Teacher's trademark catchiness. We are convinced you'll love it, but If not... we'll wish you impending doom!! Just kidding, of course. We will ask Papa Smurf to turn you into a fluffy bunny though, for a week or two, or until you come to your senses.
Go check it out on Bandcamp, Spotify (coming soon) or any other streaming service.
Parent Teacher makes playful lo-fi bedroom indie, perhaps better classified as apocalyptic pop full of unexpected hooks.

lyrics
You know what you saw
You saw it, you saw it
You know what you saw but they'll gaslight you to death
You know what you heard
You heard it, you heard it
You know what you heard but they'll gaslight you to death

Prepare for impending doom

You saw what they did
They did it, they did it
You saw what they did but they'll gaslight you instead
You know how they hid
They hid it, they hid it
You know how they hid but they'll gaslight you instead

Prepare for impending doom

Fool me once
Then shame on you
I'm old enough
To know just what to do
With the lie number two

Prepare for impending doom

Fool me once
Then shame on you
I'm old enough
To know just what to do
With the lie number two

Prepare for impending doom
