A Wilbur & Moore store
A RECORD LABEL STORE WITH NO MUSIC
Just a month after launching our label, we have the pleasure to introduce our web store: Wilbur & Moore Products.
Now, before you get excited and head over to buy the latest record of the coolest and hippest new band from Berlin or Madrid, please sit tight. Our music is not ready yet... nor have we contracted any Berlin or Madrid based artists to release their tunes on our label. The items you can buy on Wilbur & Moore Products are for now predominantly arty knick-knacks designed by Bas - yes, the same one as the Bas who kicked off this label with Joep. What an incrowd!
What has it got to do with this record label then, really? If you can't buy music. Is it some kind of commercial scam? Isn't cross-selling super lame?
We actually don't rule out selling music there, just not quite yet. We'll be sure to introduce our Bandcamp channel as a main place to access our music in the future, but there isn't any harm in having an extra place to treat you to goodies. On top of that, we decided that this store could help generate some extra cash to run our record label. Any profits made through Wilbur & Moore Products, both directly related to the label as well as other random items created by Bas, will be redirected to Wilbur & Moore Records. See it as some kind of trendy hybrid-fusion-crossover thing.
Convinced? Go and have a look, you might even find a nice small art print for your toilet wall, a snappy sticker for 'that' colleague's laptop or a fridge magnet that tells you the truth each time you reach for the milk. In the meantime, let us bore you some more, and tell you a little more about this Bas character, and the stuff he did (and does) on the side. There will be more pictures too.

BAS, THE GUY THAT DOES THE DRAWINGS
Bas van Genugten used to live in Eindhoven, an exciting industrial town in the south of The Netherlands, but swapped this for Sydney, Australia - which is nice too. He studied at Grafisch Lyceum Eindhoven (Visualisation) and Art Academy St. Joost in Breda (Animation). His work ranges from illustrations to music videos, and from graphic design to animation, and photography.
Just before his global move he released the booklet "I would like to be on the cover of a magazine (I would like to brush my teeth with gasoline)". Also, for a serious stretch of time he toured the world as part of the iconic underground VJ-duo Schwarzweide. Those were the days.
You can admire more of his drawings here.
